On the way to the Kilauea Lighthouse, just off the highway in Kilauea town, sits one of the North Shore's most beloved lunch stops: Kilauea Fish Market. It's part fish market, part plate-lunch counter — and the line out the door at noon tells you everything you need to know.
What to order
The legend here is the ahi wrap — sautéed ahi rolled in a spinach tortilla with brown rice, organic greens, carrots, cucumber, sprouts, and a homemade sesame island dressing. It's big enough to split and fresh enough that people plan their day around it.
Beyond the wrap:
- Poke — fresh island fish, simply done right
- Seared ahi plates — island-style with rice and greens
- Fish tacos — a local favorite
