Koloa Plantation Days 2026: 7/18-7/26, Parade & What to Know

Kauai's biggest and longest-running festival returns to the South Shore July 17–26. Here's the schedule and how to catch the parade.

Koloa Plantation Days 2026: 7/18-7/26, Parade & What to Know

Kauai's South Shore is about to come alive. Koloa Plantation Days 2026 runs Friday, July 17 through Sunday, July 26, with this year's theme, "The Last Harvest," and Grand Marshal Ada Henne Koene leading the celebration.

It's one of Kauai's largest and longest-running festivals — ten days honoring the island's plantation heritage across Old Koloa Town and Poipu, with more than 50 events, most of them free.

The signature events

  • Festival Opening — Friday, July 17, 5:00–8:00pm at Koloa Village (free)
  • Heritage Craft Fair — Tuesday, July 21, 9am–1pm at the Grand Hyatt Kauai (free)
  • Grand Parade — Saturday, July 25, 3:00pm, from Koloa School to Anne Knudsen Ballpark (free)
  • Annual Park Celebration — Saturday, July 25, 2:00–8:00pm at Anne Knudsen Ballpark ($5; kids 12 & under free)
  • Family Fun Run & Walk — Sunday, July 26, 6:00–9:30am at Poipu Beach Park (5K, 10K, 10-mile, and a 1-mile keiki run)

Don't miss the parade

The Historic Koloa Plantation Days Parade is the heart of the festival — pau riders, floats, marching groups, and paniolo winding through Old Koloa Town on Saturday afternoon. It's free, it's family-friendly, and it draws a crowd.

Plan ahead: the parade route means road closures in and around Koloa that afternoon, so arrive early, expect detours, and give yourself extra time. Bring water, sun protection, and a beach chair.

Where it all happens

Everything centers on the South Shore — Old Koloa Town, Poipu, and the surrounding parks — so it pairs perfectly with a beach day. Come for the parade, stay for the food, music, and history.

The full 50+ event lineup, times, and any updates are posted at koloaplantationdays.com. Times and details can change, so confirm there before you head out.
